Market Breadth
How many stocks are rising vs. falling, how many just hit a new 52-week high or low, and which sectors are strongest right now — all built from the daily price history and sector classifications already stored, reusing the same 52-week-range and sector-rotation math used elsewhere on StockProof. No live market call. This is descriptive market data: it reports breadth, not what to buy or avoid.
The window below controls the Advance/Decline line and the sector heatmap. New highs/lows are always for the latest stored trading day — a "new high" is a single-day event, not something a lookback window changes.
Advance / Decline
As of 2026-08-21 · window: 3 months · 64 trading days charted
The line is the classic Advance-Decline Line: each trading day's net (advancers minus decliners) added to a running total, restarting from zero at the window's own start. A rising line means more stocks advanced than declined on a typical day in the window; a falling line means the opposite. It describes the breadth of a move, not any one stock.
New 52-Week Highs / Lows
As of 2026-08-21
Reuses the same trailing-52-week range (highest daily high, lowest daily low) the 52-Week High/Low Proximity screen already computes per company — a company counts here only when today's own high/low equals that range's high/low, i.e. today set (or matched) the 52-week extreme.

Sector Strength Heatmap
The same computation as Sector Rotation — Market-cap weighted return of each sector's constituents over the selected window — shown here as a grid instead of a ranked table. Darker fill means a larger move; teal is a gain, red is a loss; a blank cell means no constituent had enough history to span the window.
